2.Cost of
Squad
Managers are allocated £50m in order to
buy their squad. A list is given to each manager that consists of all current
Premiership players, the position they play in and their initial cost (minimum
starting bid). Only 2 players from any
Premiership team can be purchased. The minimum size of the squad is one that
meets with any of the seven formations used (1-4-4-2, 1-4-3-3, 1-3-4-3,
1-5-3-2, 5-4-1, 3-5-2 or 4-5-1). Once this criteria
has been met each manager must decide whether or not to buy any reserves and if
so in which positions (there is no limitation as to which positions reserves
play in). Managers must select their
players, not exceeding their £50m, which they will be bidding for at the auction. Minimum number of players is 11, maximum is
13. Maximum number of managers for the
game is 16.
3.The
Auction
Bids are submitted to the FFL mailbox which is FFL1992@gmail.com privately and in rounds, managers are not aware of other
bids until the round closes. If only one
manager has gone for a particular player then the
player is sold at his transfer list price not the bid price. The bid price only comes into effect if two
or more managers bid for the same player. In the event of this happening the player goes
to the highest bidder. Once the round
has closed managers will be made aware which players
they have been successful on and which they haven’t. This process continues daily until all
managers are happy with their squads (this usually takes around five rounds, 1
per day).
Round one of the Auction is to be 24th July 2023 and will continue each day throughout this week.
You must bid for at least 11 players (minimum squad size) which fit one of the
seven legal formations in the first round.
In subsequent round you must bid for the minimum amount
of players to make up a full team again with a legal formation. For example if you
bid for 11 players in round one and you are successful with six of them, in
round two you would have to bid for a minimum of 5 players. The maximum size of squad is 13 players.
The minimum bid for a player is the players transfer list
price. There is no maximum bid providing
you can field a full team in conjunction with the rules and the price of the
squad does not exceed £50m. If there is a tie and two or more managers bid the
same price, the players remain on the transfer list for until the next
round. All other managers will be
allowed to bid on the players as usual.
Once all managers have completed their buying of players they must give their team a name.
Day one of the auction bids MUST be in by 13:00. The following days the deadline is 15:00 but
would be appreciated if submissions were made earlier if possible.
4.Transfers
Transfers List will open on the 17th
August 2023. This list is made up of all the
players that are currently not owned by any manager.
Managers selling a player receive ¾ the amount which they
paid for him rounded up to the nearest 0.1m i.e. a
player whose basic cost is 1.0m but a manager bought him for 2.0m would
generate 1.5m when sold back to the transfer list. Bids for new players must be submitted
between 0:00 and 15:00 on Thursday of each week, bids submitted outside this
window will be invalid and therefore ignored. Managers can elect to bid if they
wish using money left over from the auction.
Managers must remember when buying and selling players that they are
required to have a team to meet one of the valid formations
at all times and that only 2 players per Premiership team is
allowed. If the highest bid is a tied
bid between two managers then the player remains on
the transfer list. If a player is
transferred out of the Premiership then the manager
holding that player receives the full purchase price. All bids must be received
via email FFL1992@gmail.com only, no other method will be accepted so any transfer
attempt by text message will be immediately void.
A manager can choose to withdraw his transfer or update
before the 15:00 deadline, this had to made clear to the FFL Admin prior to
transfers being processed.
After the transfers have been processed any winning bid must
be honoured even if this means part of the transfer attempted may have failed.
Any player sold back to the Transfer List is immediately
made available to be bought. You no longer
have to wait until the following week for players sold
as part of the poaching process.
Any bid received into the gmail
inbox that has a time stamp later than the 15:00 deadline will be void.
5.Team
Selection
Eleven players in one of the seven valid formations are
selected each week, with the team to be submitted between 15:00 Friday and
12:00 Saturday, if no team changes are submitted then the team for the previous
week will remain. Again as with bidding team selection
must be via email FFL1992@gmail.com
Please note that on certain occasions it may be necessary to
alter the time that the teams need to be submitted by, if this is the case then
a new time will be decided, and everyone will be informed.
If you don’t have a valid 11 selected and miss the deadline
to submit a new team, the team currently picked will be the team used to score
points, even if this means you have less than 11 players.
6. Manager
of the Month
Every 7 games, a Manager of the Month will be awarded to the
highest scoring manager during those 7 games.
The final manager of the month is over 3 games.
As well as pound notes for manager of
the month there is fantasy pound notes to spend as well, this works as follows:-
1st Manager receives 0.0m 2nd " " 0.5m
3rd " " 0.8m 4th " " 1.0m
5th " " 1.2m 6th " " 1.5m
7th " " 1.8m 8th " " 2.0m
9th " " 2.2m 10th “ “ 2.5m
11th “ “ 2.8m 12th “ “ 3.0m
13th “ “ 3.2m 14th “ “ 3.5m
15th “ “ 4.0m 16th “ “ 5.0m
7. Player
Poaches
Starting on Monday 4th
September 2023 and every Monday thereafter, a list will be generated randomly
of the players available for poaching. A
player will be randomly selected from each manager’s squad and available to be
poached at 1.5x the player’s value. For example if a manager bought Alan Shearer for 6.0m his poach
price would be 9.0m. Poaching can now
start at 9.0m upwards, if someone put a poach price in of say 12.0m the manager
who holds Shearer could decide either to sell or pay the difference back to the
kitty, in this case 6.0m. All poaches
must be submitted between 0:00 and 15:00 each
Tuesday, any poaches submitted outside this window will be invalid and
therefore ignored. When submitting a
poach you must state how the deal will be funded and nominate any players to be
sold as part of the transaction, failure to do so will invalidate the poach.
The only situation where this could change would be if you also receive a poach
the same week as you make one. If a manager is known to be away and
wishes to be excluded from that week’s poach they must
state this in their team selection email (section 5). This is the only way they
can be removed from that week’s poaching.
If a manager has not registered his absence from the poach and does not
respond to a poach attempt the admin will be forced to block on that manger’s
behalf in the event the manager has access to enough funds or in the event the
manager cannot cover the poach without the sale of players
the poach attempt will be accepted. NO
PLAYERS WILL BE SOLD BY ADMINS. If
no-one puts a bid in for a poachable player then the
manager keeps that player. Once a poach has been submitted it CANNOT for any
reason be withdrawn. If a poach is tied
the managers who submitted the tied poaches are asked to resubmit a new poach
that must be at least equal to the tied poach price. The receiving manger would then choose
whether to block or accept. Poaches end before the end of the season, the last
poach will be Monday 29th April 2023.
8. Cup Competitions
There are two cup competitions this
season in FFL. Everyone will start in
the Champions League competition with the top two from each group progressing
to the next round. The four runners up
will be placed in the semi- finals of the Europa League cup completion.
Group Stages
At the start of the season all
managers will be drawn into groups.
There will be three groups of four and one group of three teams. Throughout the season, up until Christmas, in
each respective group the team would play each other on nominated cup weekend
(using the Premier League matches). The
winner of each tie is the manager with the most FFL points for that week and
they would receive 3 points for a win. A
draw would be the usual 1 point each.
Everyone plays everybody in their group twice. The top two teams from each group progress
into the quarter finals.
Dates for the group games are:-

All scores and information taken from SkySports
website. Goalscorers are taken from the Sky website
at the time of score entry. If there is
a subsequent change of goal scorer as a result of the
dubious goal panel or similar this will not be reflected in the FFL game. In the event that
Sky web site does not publish players ratings within 48hours the ratings will
be taken from 90mins.com. If 90mins
doesn’t have ratings either we will use The Suns DreamTeam
site and round down the ratings (example 7.5 would be 7).
In the event that the rating does not reflect the star man, for example the
star man scores 7 and another player is given 8. The star mans rating would match that of the highest rated
player. A rating of N/A is 4/10
Scores are awarded at time of entry so any retrospective
changes such as dubious goals will remain as first reported and not changed once
scores have been updated.
Players missing from the ratings are awarded the same score
as the lowest points scoring player on their team.
Only F.A. Premier League games apply - no cup matches.
11.
Communications
All Manager communications regarding team selection, poaches
and transfers must be sent to FFL1992@GMAIL.COM during the specific times outlined above. No combinations
of these will be accepted e.g. A manager
may place a transfer request and add a line at the bottom that if they are successful they wish to select this player for Saturday’s
game. In this case providing the
transfer request was made between 0:00 and 15:00 Thursday, only that part of
the mail will be accepted, the team selection part will be ignored and should
be submitted between 15:00 Friday and 11:00 Saturday.
